Qpinch: revolutionizing industrial energy efficiency

Founded twelve years ago by Wouter Ducheyne, Qpinch is on a mission to empower industrial clients, especially in petrochemicals, to recover and utilize otherwise lost heat. By implementing Qpinch's solutions, businesses can achieve energy savings of 10 to 15% and significantly reduce CO₂ emissions.

The inspiration behind Qpinch's inception came to Wouter during his time at BASF. Observing billowing clouds of steam from cooling towers in the Antwerp harbor, he recognized the massive and permanent waste of heat. Around 80% of industrial energy consumption relies on heat, primarily in the form of steam. Unfortunately, once this heat serves its purpose in industrial processes, it gets discarded via cooling towers, making it irretrievable due to its reduced temperature. A shocking loss.

Christian Heeren, co-founder of Qpinch and an industry expert with experience in the food sector, shared Wouter's concern about rampant energy wastage. While industries do recover most of the higher-temperature waste heat for immediate reuse, a significant amount of lower-temperature waste heat remains untapped.

At Qpinch, they've successfully solved this inefficiency puzzle. By harnessing cutting-edge technology, Qpinch enables industries to reclaim and repurpose even the lower-temperature waste heat, driving us closer to a sustainable and greener future.

Join us in celebrating Qpinch's commitment to industrial energy efficiency and their pivotal role in curbing wastage. Together, we need to embrace a more sustainable and environmentally conscious world.
