Capricorn Healthtech Fund II boosted by Dutch Partners

Capricorn Partners proudly announces that a number of leading Dutch partners have joined as new shareholders (Limited Partners, LPs) in Capricorn Healthtech Fund II, further strengthening its position in the Netherlands. The new Dutch investors include Oost NL, ROM Regio Utrecht, University of Twente Holding, and several leading private investors and family funds. With this strategic expansion, Capricorn confirms its ambition to intensify collaboration with the Dutch innovation system and further support Dutch healthtech entrepreneurs.

New institutional partners from the Netherlands

Oost NL (the regional development agency for the Eastern Netherlands) stimulates and strengthens innovative entrepreneurs with a focus on social impact.

ROM Utrecht Region (the regional development agency for Utrecht) offers access to regional expertise and a strong network in medical technology, digital healthcare, and patient care in and around the Utrecht region.

Universiteit Twente Holding (the valorization organization affiliated with the University of Twente), contributes to the transfer of technological research to market application.

Strengthening Dutch scale & impact

By joining these Dutch partners, Capricorn Partners achieves:

  • Local anchoring: strengthening connections with Dutch ecosystems, research institutions, and policy actors.

  • Broadening the deal flow: increasing access to Dutch healthtech startups and spin-outs, leading to more investment opportunities.

  • Synergy between knowledge and implementation: collaboration with universities and valorization organizations accelerates the translation of science into practical applications in healthcare.

  • Strategic co-investments: Dutch LPs can also act as co-investors in deals within or outside the Netherlands, increasing the fund's impact.
